Sonoraville is an unincorporated community in Gordon County, Georgia, United States. It used to be a post office in farmland during the American Civil War. Now it is lush farmlands with a rapidly growing community as houses, country stores, churches (including Sonoraville Baptist Church and Wesley Chapel Methodist Church), and schools including Sonoraville High School. Sonoraville is seven miles outside of Calhoun.
Sonoraville High School is the community's high school; it was created in 2005 for grades 9 and 10. Within the next two years, Sonoraville became a normal high school with all grades 9-12. The principal is Bruce Potts. The mascot is the Phoenix, and the colors are red and black.
